Barcelona Zoo is located inside the urban park of Parc de la Ciutadella, about five minutes from the city center
Being a short walk from the center of Barcelona, it becomes a good place for a break in the cultural visits. It is a good choice to go with the kids to enjoy a few hours of nature.
It has about 4,000 animals of 400 species and include spaces such as those for gorillas or farm animals.
Three times a day you can see the dolphin show, check the time so you don’t miss.
Depends on the time you have available in the Zoo Guide Map, they suggest two routes:
1.) Quick Tour of 2 hours to see the most important animals.
2.) Wider 5 hours tour (including meal time) to not miss anything
Inside the Zoo you will find picnic areas and several bars for lunch. Another good option if you do not have much time is to take a train ride or rent an electric car.
