Suquet de l'Almirall Restaurant
Suquet de l’Almirall is a landmark in La Barceloneta and one of the best restaurants on the famous Passeig Joan de Borbó. Quim Marquès, following his family tradition, opened its doors in 1996 and since then has grown to become one of the best restaurants in Barcelona when it comes to fish and seafood.
"Peixet fregit" This dish is very typical in Barcelona and in Spain. This is a small sized fried fish, generally anchovies, is served as a starter or tapas. In this case comes with citrus scent.
This is the view of the interior dining room, but with good weather I recommend the terrace outside on the street. The restaurant boasts a well selected wine cellar.
Let me summarize this photo in a single word that everyone has heard about and if you come to Barcelona or to Spain you don't want to miss: "Paella". El Suquet is specialize in Paella, one of the best in Barcelona.
The price per person is around 45-50 €, a bit high but the portions are plentiful, the fish is fresh and the flavor and cooking excellent.
Very, Very recommendable!!
